Creator Pass · Season 01
Creator Pass terms
1. What Creator Pass is
Creator Pass is NewGen's programme for creators who stream and post about Call of Duty. NewGen ([legal entity name], "NewGen", "we") runs campaigns, each with challenges you can complete by playing on stream or by posting. Completing a challenge, once verified, earns the reward listed on it. These terms apply from the moment you accept them in your application, alongside your creator agreement.
2. Who can take part
- You are aged [18] or over and based in one of the markets the programme covers.
- The channels and accounts you declare are yours and under your control.
- The Activision ID you give is the account you play on stream. You keep it current on your account page; a change is held until a member of the NewGen team confirms it.
- Your application is reviewed by NewGen. We may decline it, or end your participation, as set out in section 9.
3. Challenges
Each challenge states what counts: the game modes it applies to, the measure (for example wins, matches played, eliminations, or posts carrying a campaign hashtag and their reach), the target, the time window and the reward. A match in a mode the challenge does not cover is recorded but does not count towards it. Your progress is calculated from verified results and can be recalculated at any time; the calculation, not any earlier display of it, is what counts. We may add, change or withdraw challenges during a campaign; a change does not take away progress you have already had verified.
4. How gameplay is verified
- Gameplay counts only when it is played live on a channel you declared, in the game's category, and read by our service from the public stream. We read the on-screen display; nothing is installed on your machine or in your game.
- Your stream must be at 1080p or higher. At lower resolutions the scoreboard cannot be read reliably and the stream is declined with the reason shown.
- You must let the end-of-match scoreboard show on your stream after every game, and appear on it under your registered Activision ID. A match whose scoreboard is not shown, or where you are not on it, is recorded but does not count.
- In Warzone, stay on the match summary for a few seconds at the end of each game. The contracts it shows are read from it; for a game you leave sooner they are counted from what was seen in play, which may be fewer.
- In DMZ, after you extract stay on the RATING tab until your grade shows, about five seconds, then on the SUMMARY tab for three. Your kills are read from the RATING tab; a deployment whose RATING figures were not shown is not counted, since the in-game counter alone can read too high.
- Every match is reviewed by an automated model and then decided by a member of the NewGen team, who may approve it, correct a value by reading it off the scoreboard image, or reject it with a note. Only approved matches count.
- Our reading is deliberately cautious: if part of a match was not seen, the report says so rather than guessing, and a value that cannot be read is left unread. Under-reporting of this kind is not grounds for a claim, but you may ask for a match to be looked at again within [14 days] of its decision.
- Re-watching your own earlier games, reruns, and footage of someone else's play do not count.
5. How posts are verified
For social challenges we collect your own public posts from the accounts you declared, once a day, and match them on the campaign hashtags stated in the challenge. A post counts only if it is public, posted by a declared account, within the challenge window, and carries the required hashtags. Reach counts (views, likes, comments, shares) are read as the platform shows them publicly at the time we check. A post made private or deleted may stop counting.
6. Your commitments
- Fair play. No boosting, no arranged lobbies, no exploits, cheats or modified game clients, and no attempt to mislead the reading of the stream (for example overlays placed to hide or alter the scoreboard).
- Authentic content. Your content stays yours and in your voice. Challenges reward coverage, never scripted endorsements.
- Disclosure. You label programme content as your market's advertising rules require (for example #ad or #CreatorPass). We provide templates per market; following the rules is your responsibility.
- Accurate details. You keep your declared accounts and Activision ID correct, and declare only accounts that are yours.
- Platform rules. You comply with the terms of the platforms you stream and post on and with the game's terms of use.
7. Rewards
- A reward is earned when a challenge's target is reached from verified results and a member of the NewGen team signs the completion off.
- Rewards are as described on the challenge. [Payment details are collected and payments made outside the portal, under your creator agreement.] Any tax on a reward is your responsibility.
- We may withhold or reclaim a reward where section 6 was breached, where results were obtained by fraud, or where a verification is overturned on review.
8. Your content and our records
You keep all rights in your streams and posts. You grant NewGen the right to read your public streams and posts for verification, to store the match records, scoreboard images and post records described in the privacy policy, and to report your verified results to the campaign's client to the extent needed to settle rewards. [Any promotional use of your name, likeness or content is governed by your creator agreement, not by these terms.]
9. Leaving and removal
You can leave at any time by deleting your account on your account page, which removes your data as the privacy policy describes; rewards already earned are unaffected unless section 7 applies. We may suspend or end your participation for a breach of these terms, for conduct that brings the programme or its clients into disrepute, or if a campaign ends. We will tell you why.
10. Our service
We work hard to read every match, but we cannot promise to: platforms go down, streams drop, and a game update can change the screen we read. Where a match could not be read, it does not count and we will say so. To the extent the law allows, NewGen is not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit or loss of opportunity arising from the programme, and our total liability to you under these terms is limited to [the rewards due to you under the campaign in question]. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Privacy
How we handle your personal data, and that of other players who appear on your scoreboard, is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
12. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms for later seasons or for changes in how the programme works; we will post the new version here and tell enrolled creators before material changes take effect. These terms are governed by the law of [England and Wales], and its courts have [non-exclusive] jurisdiction. Questions go to your NewGen contact or [contact address].
